The Snowbound Anthology

A collection of Nebraska stories, essays, and poetry by Andrew S. Pollock, who grew up in rural Keith County and has lived in the state all his life. The collection features a short story about a woman who was stranded alone in her Sandhills ranch house during the Great Blizzard of 1949. The Anthology also includes an essay about a boy who would later become Crazy Horse, a poem about goose hunting in the Panhandle, and a haunting story of the battle of Massacre Canyon.
